Wind-up & Awards Night

Our Wind-up and Awards Night will be on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30pm.

We will be having pizza, vegetables, drinks and dessert. (if anyone has any allergies/dietary issues, can you please let us know when you RSVP). Parents, siblings, etc of our club members are welcome to attend the supper, but we ask that you pay $5.00/extra person to cover the food (little people eat for free).

Following supper, we will have a short program to acknowledge some of our outstanding Judoka from throughout the season. We will also announce the awards and prizes for the JUDO-A-THON.

RSVP by Friday, April 12th (or sooner), so we can order the appropriate amount of food. Indicate the number of members from your family attending and any dietary issues.

Annual Mini Judo-a-Thon




When is the Judo-A-Thon?


The JUDO-A-THON will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 during their regular Judo class.

What is a Judo-A-Thon?

 

It is a competition between judoka, to see who can complete the most throws in 30 minutes. Judoka are asked to find pledges for the number of throws they can complete in 30 minutes with a partner.

The Mini is for the U8 class. Everything is the same, except it will be 15 minutes of throwing.

Why do we participate?


The TROPHY!! The honor of having your name engraved on the trophy for completing the most throws.

PRIZES!! Prizes are awarded for judoka who raise the most money (NEW JUDOGI'S).

PRIZES!! Prizes are awared for MOST TRHOWS, BEST TECHNIQUE and much more!

All money collected goes directly into the Judo Club. Money is used to support our athletes at local tournaments, attend Judo Camps, buy new equipment, and help support our elite athletes travel to national events.



Guests are welcome to come down and watch!

What is a Judo-A-Thon?
